GENERAL TEACHING ASSISTANT – with SEND & After School Club PLAYWORKER
Teaching Assistant (TA) – 32.5 hours per week, TTO +5 days
Grade C SCP 2 – 4 (including SEN allowance) - £19,522 to £20,257 FTE per annum
Actual salary: £13,912.49 PA
SEND allowance = £1,012.08 PA
After School Club play worker – 11.25hrs, TTO
Grade B SCP 2 £4,707.75

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is vibrant, caring, flexible, innovative and inspiring to work under the direction of our Headteacher and Classroom Teachers. They will have a real passion about how our youngest children learn best and be relentless in their drive to ensure every child achieves. Ideally, they will have experience of working with children with SEND and specific communication and interaction needs.
The post is to support a child with additional needs, Monday-Friday. It will be offered on temporary basis to support the child with special educational needs.
There will also be the requirement to work in our After School Club as a play worker. The contracted hours for this are 11.25hrs/week over 5 days. Within this role, you will welcome children into after school club, prepare engaging activities for children to take part in, and provide a light tea for them.
It is likely that the working pattern will be 8.30-3.30 (GTA) with 30 minutes for lunch, 3.30 – 6.00pm (After school club).
We are a small team and as such, we would like the successful candidate to be someone who is a strong team player and is willing to contribute to all aspects of school life.
