Wraparound Provision

The Nest is our offer of wrap around care here at Keeble Gateway Academy. Our dedicated Before and After School club provides fun and engaging wrap around care from 7.30am until 6.00pm. The Nest is a homely and welcoming environment, which ensures that our children continue to feel happy and safe before and after school. With access to both indoor and outdoor activities, children can explore a wide range of resources. At breakfast club we offer a selection of cereals, fruit and toast, and after school will have a light tea, along with healthy snacks.

 

What we do

The Nest provides a safe environment for children and is a place where they can choose to continue their learning or unwind with their friends. Children play with a wide range of resources from arts and crafts, board games, reading, and construction. Each week at The Nest our play workers plan exciting and fun activities based on children’s interests and needs. This includes activities such as: making playdough, our own slime factory, junk modelling, gardening and ensuring our birds are well fed in the outdoor area, making lots of fat balls for them to eat.

We like to ensure that our children enjoy a variety of experiences and The Nest is no different. Throughout the academic year exciting event nights will be planned at The Nest including a bouncy castle, movie nights, scavenger hunts, science nights, karaoke night and lots more, this will be communicated to parents to enable you to book a space.

 

Menu

Children are offered meals while at the nest, which includes breakfast and a light tea. The meals are varied daily. Fruit and vegetables will be available both before and after school. Children have the option of a variety of breakfast items including cereals, toast, bagels, crumpets and fruit. At our after-school club children will be offered light balanced tea of wraps, bagels, sandwiches, beans on toast or hot dogs, along with vegetable sticks and sweetcorn and variety of puddings, including, yoghurt, biscuits, fruit and jam tarts.

 

 

Prices/Times

The Nest opens at 7.30am. We offer breakfast for those children that arrive at The Nest by 8am. If your child is arriving after this time, please ensure they have eaten breakfast prior to arriving at school.

After school the Nest is available until 6.00pm:

•        3:15pm - 4:15pm - £4.15 including a healthy snack.

·         3.15pm – 6.00pm - £9 including a light tea.

 

Please book via the My Child At School (MCAS) app.  If you require a short notice booking please contact admin@keeblegatewayacademy.org places are limited so booking early is advised.

Children who attend The Nest following an afterschool activity will be charged the full session price.

If your circumstances change, any cancellations must be done 24 hours in advance or charges will apply.
